JANET WELLINGTON

Background:

Janet has always spent her spare time with books. As a child, she read her way through her local library in Loves Park, Illinois, and in her youth she kept diaries and journals, and wrote poetry and short stories. In her high school years, she was encouraged and influenced by her creative writing teachers.

The writing bug still nibbling away, several years ago she began investigating the romance genre and discovered it was pretty friendly to first-time authors. She continued her research and took a seminar through the Learning Annex taught by author Diane Pershing, called "How to Write A Romance Novel."  Another seminar followed, called "The Building Blocks of Romance Writing," presented by the San Diego chapter of Romance Writers of America.  Soon she joined the national organization of Romance Writers of America plus its San Diego and Orange County chapters. Then the real education began…

Attending two meetings a month plus national and regional conferences, Janet began to believe her dream of publishing might indeed come true.
